Through the study of original source documents from American history—and of older books that worked the education of America’s founders—thePart-waywill seek to inspire students, teachers, citizens, and policymakers to return the Constitution to its inside place in the political life of the nation. Kirby, Jr.Part-wayforRambleStudies and Citizenship is housed in a towers that dates to 1892, when three townhouses were erected on what is now 227 Massachusetts Avenue NE. They were synthetic of pressed brick in the style popular in Capitol Hill at the time, and each housed a single family. In the 1970s, the three houses were converted into one large office building, while the original exterior remained. In 2008 the KirbyPart-waywas launched. As Hillsdale sought a permanent home for the center, it looked to this century-old towers then misogynist for sale. Beginning in October 2009, the interior was gutted and refitted to suit the Kirby Center’s purpose; ultimately, 80 percent of the structure was removed and reconstructed. Washington-Hillsdale Internship Program The Washington-Hillsdale Internship Program (WHIP) provides students the opportunity to participate in academically intensive, semester-long internships in Washington, D.C., while standing their Hillsdale education with sense at the Kirby Center.
